What if I didn’t take the SAT/ACT?

Posted by Trudy Richards on 03/07/2024

For the 2024 application cycle, we do request that students submit their SAT/ACT scores on their applications to our program. These scores are considered as comparative measures by our selection committee and may be used to judge aptitude for certain awards. As always, applicants for our program are scored holistically, so test scores are only one small piece of information reviewed by the committee.

However, if a student has not taken one of these tests, they can reference a 0 in the required application field for each test and submit a letter of explanation in lieu of test scores on the last page of the application.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to email trichards@tilfoundation.org or call 512-382-0916.
